San Bernardino County Farm Bureau 100th Year Event

It's been 100 years for the San Bernardino County Farm Bureau so we celebrated in a lovely setting in Mentone, CA to celebrate in style. In the heart of all the orange groves and just below the apple orchards, over 150 members and guests came out to celebrate with a catered meal, DJ, presentation and awards and topped it off with great raffle items. with a relaxed and beautiful setting.

The Salvation Army Hope Gala 2017

Main Stream Events and PR Firm had the honor of coordinating the 4th Annual Hope Gala for The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command featuring Olympian Lolo Jones as our guest speaker. 

Great Gatsby was the theme for the main dining for 240+ guests and Olympics in the VIP Reception.

Volunteer at Burrage Mansion

Why does Karen of Main Stream Events and PR Firm volunteer her time with organizations like Mansion Memories? She believes in giving back to the community that she lives and works in. She donates her time because she believes in helping others. She has been volunteering for Mansion Memories for a short time, but she feels like home when it comes to these events.

December 10 was a Toy Story Magical Day where we had characters visit from the Toy Story movie, children played interactive games, had a face paint station, photo opportunities, a letter to Santa station, a nice meal, and the fellowship of being at a mansion with other children. These children were nominated to come to the mansion and their eyes just lit up from the time they arrived until they departed and even older teenagers that were a bit macho in the beginning were taking photos with the characters and writing letters to Santa. Every child deserves to be a child and even the adults (like me) deserve to have some magic.

These are just a few of the pictures that were done for the setup and I snagged a few of Karen and her mom volunteering along with the other volunteers.   Mansion Memories could not put on these events without the assistance of sponsors and volunteers.

What is a magical day?

Magical Days are special events held at the Burrage Mansion several times throughout the year. These enchanting galas are designed to bring love, hope, excitement and joy back into the lives of children who are experiencing crisis. These are kids who are facing a serious illness or who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling—all heart breaking stories. While we can’t erase the pain or suffering that has impacted their lives, we can offer these special children and their families a day full of joy and magic and happiness.

How Do We Select Our Families? Families are nominated from within the community who have social, economic or health related crisis. Please note: Due to limited space and our goal to serve as many families in crisis as possible, we cannot accommodate grandparents, aunt, uncles, cousins or friends at the Magical Day. Only Nominees selected to participate and their immediate family members may attend the Magical Day event.

How To Get Involved? We typically have over 150 volunteers to make these events a reality. From decorating to food preparation to the final clean up, our amazing volunteer workers are a crucial component to our success. Volunteer opportunities will be announced as needed for each event.

The Salvation Army Hope Gala 2015

This was a Black Tie Event for The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command.  Main Stream Events and PR Firm designed and coordinated their Hope Gala 2015.  This is there 2nd annual and we are honored to have coordinated both of them.  We had 375 feet of Red Carpet and a beautiful archway filled with ice and flowers that the guests walked through as they arrived inside the main lobby.

It was a team effort with amazing vendors and wonderful Salvation Army staff and volunteers.

Emmitt Smith was our Key Note Speaker and what a story he has.

Stage Right Lighting Weddings-Special Events from the uplighting, stage washes and spandex circles, to the beautiful colored lanterns hanging from the center of the basketball court. The lighting was the finishing pieces we needed to bring this event to life. They were also a sponsor and so appreciate your generosity and flexibility.  They also provided the spandex for the VIP stage backdrop.

Botanique provided the beautiful linens, napkins, and centerpieces and was such a delight to work with. She also sponsored the acrylic arch and flowers in the main lobby.   It was so beautiful to walk through and was a great addition to the ice.

Big Top Entertainment provided the VIP/outside red carpets, stanchions, velvet ropes, bar, and amazing black velour backdrop on the stage to the pipe and drape around the basketball courts.

Astro DJs (Entertainment) provided and sponsored the VIP pictures with Emmitt Smith for the guests to take home at the end of the evening.

Ice Art - created the two amazing ice pillars with The Salvation Army Shield.  All-Star Photobooth provided and was a sponsor the photos in the main lobby.  Express Valet - provided and was a sponsor for Valet Service.  Waterford Event Rentals, LLC - worked with us on the spandex chair covers and the bands.  Whiting Turner - sponsored the rest of the red carpets.  Wow, 350 feet of red carpets inside the building.  Calvin Dunn Photography - sponsored the event photography and the amazing pictures.

Physicians for Peace Gala

Main Stream Events and PR Firm  designed and produced the Physicians for Peace 25th Silver Anniversary Gala in just 5 weeks. This was a Black Tie Event.

We started the evening off with a flag ceremony of 40+ flags from around the world, silent and live auctions, steel drummers, African dancers and drummers, Filipino dancers, and the band, Rare Mixx ended the gala with some live entertainment that got everyone on the dance floor. 

It was a team effort with amazing vendors and wonderful Physicians for Peace staff and volunteers.

Leslie Hartig Floral Design provided the center pieces and was such a delight to work with during the process.

Stage Right Lighting Weddings-Special Events provided the uplighting and stage washes. The lighting was the finishing pieces we needed to bring this event to life.  Big Top Entertainment provided the amazing backdrop on the stage and stage. Astro DJs (Entertainment) provided the Red Carpet photos for the guests to take home at the end of the evening.

Waterford Event Rentals provided the beautiful satin linens, napkins, spandex chair covers and bands.  Jason Hillian of All You Photo captured the beautiful event photography.  The Entertainment was top notch with One Love Steel Band (Steel Drum), Atumpan (African Dancers and Drummers), The Young Filipino American Modern Dancers and Rare Mixx (for the after party).  Kelly Bridgman of Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel did a great job taking care of me for the venue.
